Where conditions are excessively harsh – combining both high temperatures and a large dust burden – an Insulation Pillow or ‘Bolster’ should be used. Using a thick Insulation Material encapsulated with fabrics or stainless steel mesh, the Insulation Pillow will help reduce the temperature and stop dust ingress forming between the Expansion Joint and the Flow Liner System.
Open ended bolster pillows can be supplied tabbed or un-tabbed. Bolster Pillows that are tabbed, clamp onto the duct flanges during installation.
Stainless steel mesh can also encapsulate the Bolster Pillows, for added durability.
